David Goyer Rules Out Penguin And Catwoman

David Goyer, one of the writers of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight has said that Penguin and Catwoman will not appear in the next Batman film.

“Batman has been published for 70 years. In the first movie, we used Ra’s Al Ghul and the Scarecrow, who had not been in the movies before, and had not been in the ’60s TV show before.

“There are dozens if not hundreds of other characters that fit that bill. Everyone says it’s got to be the Penguin or Catwoman [in the next film]… well I completely disagree.”

Penguin and Catwoman are probably the most well known villains that haven’t appeared in Christopher Nolan’s movies, although they did appear in Batman Returns in 1992 played by Danny DeVito and Michelle Pfeiffer.

There are rumours that The Riddler will be the villain in the next film, along with Two-Face, however that is just speculation at this point.

Which villian/s would you like to see in the next Batman film?
